While in the University of Tokyo, strolled around sightseeing destinations and leisure venues in Japan.
After started a career at a trading conglomerate, earned an MBA at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA and inspired by the marketing class by Prof. Philip Kotler.
After graduation, moved to NYC and spent six years to experience businesses for various guest-attracting facilities.
When returning to Japan, changed job to take a chance for the opening of Universal Studios Japan, then worked as a management member to prepare for its grand opening, secure repeat visitation, and introduce new attractions. Was responsible for Marketing Planning and Research.
Then, moved to Tokyo to contribute to KidZania Tokyo, the first overseas KidZania, as an executive for its preparation for grand-opening and operational stability.
Was responsible for sponsorship division that controlled 50+ corporate sponsors and administrative division.
Utilizing these experiences, held senior executive positions in Pacific Golf Management and Unimat group (operating resort, hotel, and restaurants)
Subsequently, established ELDER-TANAKA & ASSOCIATES, INC. with Norman Elder who has been globally engaged in openings and strategic marketing of entertainment attractions and destinations. Enthusiastic in strategic marketing and corporate alliances for theme parks, regional revitalizations, and real NINJA contents / Japanese-style street performances.
